Vera S. Miller 91 Oblong, died Saturday March 30, 2002 at 4:10p.m. at Crawford Memorial Hospital Robinson, IL. She was born November 18, 1910 in Crawford County, Illinois and was the daughter of Charles E. Shaffer and Ethel P. (Belger) Shaffer. In February 1929 she married Loren A. Milam who died in 1972. In 1947, she married Perry Miller who died in 1966. Vera was a homemaker and her hobbies were fishing and quilting.

Vera is survived by 3 sons and a daughter-in-law Loren J. Milam, Charles E. Milam and Edward and Donna Milam; 4 daughters and sons-in-laws Pauline E. & Harold Long, Wanda & Paul Perkins, Dorothy & Oscar Frichtl and Evelyn Spleen; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and 3 sisters Jaunita Webb, Wanda Lee Gardner and Charleen Vaughan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, 1 son Norman A. Milam; 4 brothers Lavern, Eugene, Junior and Harold Shaffer; and 1 sister Cleo Stolts.

Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery.
